I remember reading an exciting article in the August 98 issue of FLYING: it was about a biz jet capable of cruising at 51,000' at up to 0.81Mach - just like a Big Iron. On top of that, it had a modern cockpit sporting the latest in navigation, communication and safety. What's more, its maintenance was infinetely more cost-effective than the previous models: replacing one of the front cockpit widshields was a matter of only two hours - amazing. Today, the venerable Lear 45 is still an airplane that commands respect, with its arrow-like nose, powerful engines and luxurious yet functional cabin. |
Just like a space fighter - the sleek lines make Lear 45 one of the most beautiful biz jets around. Today it may not be the fastest but it is certainly fast enough to bring passengers to their destination on time and with impressive comfort. |
