Service Pack 3.50 has been released
SP 3.50 adds a new free mission - STS-100 - which in 2001 installed the SSRMS on the ISS structure. The Service Pack also includes new landing and guidance communications.

Service Pack 3.10 + New Manuals have been released
This new release includes new features and functionality such as a Virtual 3D Mid Deck, Crosswinds, Weather reports, guidance communications during landing, new RMS rate hold function, and of course, updated manuals with proper references to the new features.

Major Service Pack 3.00 has been released
Service Pack 3.00 has been released today. Among other improvements, it includes a fully revised HUD, guidance, launch, and comms. There are many additions, changes and fixes which makes this service pack a must-have for all SSM2007 "astronauts".

Service Pack 2.45 + STS-47 Free Mission Addon has been released
Service Pack 2.45 has been released today. Among other improvements, it includes a new free mission - STS-47 - the first SSM2007 Spacelab mission. Although a "one star" mission, it includes a few surprises which reveal the capabilities of the SSM2007 simulator and offer a glimpse of the future.

Service Pack 2.40 + STS-401 Free Mission Addon has been released
Service Pack 2.40 has been released today. It includes a new mission - STS-401 - and some new Special Effects and changes to make EVA, Free Cam, RCS and RMS ops more challenging, exciting and consistent. SP 2.40 and the new, required Commaders' Reference Manual are available from the Downloads page on the SSM2007 website.

Service Pack 2.30 has been released today. Besides additional peformance optimization, SP 2.30 includes a new mission - STS-51A - and some new Special Effects.

STS-32 Free Mission Addon has been released
STS-32 has been one of the longest and elaborate missions at the time. The mission highlights included the deployment of the SYNCOM Department of Defense Communications Satellite and the rendezvous and retrieval of the LDEF NASA satellite and returning it to Earth.

STS-93 Free Mission Addon has been released
STS-93 has seen Col. Eileen Collins as the fist woman Space Shuttle Commander. The STS-93 mission highlight is the deployment of the Chandra X-Ray Observatory on a particularly elliptical orbit around Earth. Chandra's extreme resolution enables the Astronomy community to gather previously unreacheable information about distant nebulas and gas clouds.

SSM2007 now supports Vuzix Iwear VR920 stereoscopic HMD
We are happy to announce that we have completed the development of native Vuzix iWear VR920 support. Currently, SSM2007 coupled with the iWear VR920 stereoscopic goggles and head tracking, is the closest thing to the multi-million Dollars NASA Virtual Reality Labs where Astronauts train for their ISS EVA missions. Just as in reality, you will be experiencing stunning stereoscopic effect. "Being there" has never been so close.

Stereoscopic HMD support announced!
We are happy to announce that we have started development for including support for the Vuzix stereoscopic HMD (goggles). With Vuzix support, SSM2007 reaches extreme immersion and simulation levels unique in its class. The Vuzix support will be offered free of charge to all legal SSM2007 customers.

STS-99 Free Mission Addon has been released
STS-99 is particularly interesting to Flight Simulator fans as it allows you to recreate and fly the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) - the very mission which provided the necessary topography data to the Flight Simulation scenery builders. Now it is YOU who has to successfully complete this important mission and bring those trillion raw readings safely back to earth. Enjoy!

STS-27 Free Mission Addon has been released
STS-27 is a still-classified DoD mission which supposedly put a Spy Sat on orbit. Our spooks have obtained information about that mission and now it is up to you to successfully complete it. We do not know how reliable our information about STS-27 is, but it is the best we could obtain so far without having the NSA knocking at our doors. Enjoy!

STS-122 is the first free add-on
Work has started on the first free mission for SSM2007. STS-122 has added the Columbus module to the International Space Station and refreshed the ISS crew by exchanging two Astronauts.

Space Shuttle Mission supports TrackIR
With the release of Service Pack 1.24, SSM2007 now supports TrackIR. The support is evident in the 3D Virtual Flight Deck and during Extra Vehicular Activities first person view where the gamers can asssume the roles of Astronauts performing tasks outside the Space Shuttle and International Space Station.
